End Forming
End forming is the process of changing the shape at the end of a tube or bar through axial forming forces, as opposed to rotary forces in rotary swaging. The process will have an effect on the overall lengh of the part and create whichever end-shape you require (e.g., reduction, expansion, beaded, flanged, coined, flared, trimmed).
The part is held in place by a clamp block while the dies or punches are pushed in or over the workpiece to form its end.
Torrington machines require high quality components to produce high quality parts. Consequently, we provide our clients with spares parts & maintenance services as needed.
